Local Children present "Healing and Hope Through the Arts" on March 6 to benefit Hope Street Kids

Columbus, OH, January 12, 2004 — Hope Street Kids was founded by Congresswoman Deborah Pryce and Randy Walker in memory of Caroline Pryce Walker, who lost a valiant battle against Neuroblastoma in 1999. The organization's mission is the eliminate childhood cancer through cutting-edge research, advocacy and education.

In addition to the Columbus Children’s Choir, other area talent will include Scottish Corners Elementary Fifth Grade Drumming Ensemble, Karrer Middle School Choir, Irish Step Dancers Morgan and Lauren Callahan, HarpOhio, Westerville High School South Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Jenny Jang - Violinist and more.

The Columbus Children's Choir is comprised of 3rd through 12th graders who regularly perform major works with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra. The choir has also performed at Carnegie Hall and with various artists, such as Celine Dion and John Lithgow.

Hope Street Kids has raised more than $3 million since inception and had granted research projects in childhood cancer at 17 institutions in 11 states, including grants at The Ohio State University and Columbus Children's Hospital.
