OUR MISSION:
The mission of Hope Street Kids is to eliminate childhood cancer through pioneering research, advocacy and education.
About Advocacy & Education
Advocacy
Using the power of Congress and the combined influence of a coalition of organizations that share our interests, Hope Street Kids will play an important role in shaping the public policy that affects children with cancer. We will work to increase federal funding for research, speed delivery of promising new therapies, educate more pediatric cancer professionals, make clinical trials of new treatments available to greater numbers of children, increase access to quality care and expand support for the emotional and social needs of families and children. You can make a difference. Communicate with your lawmakers to convey your support for policies and legislation that will help support, and save the lives of, the thousands of children and their families that are devastated each year by this disease.
Education
HSK provides critical support to families that are facing a diagnosis of childhood cancer and the difficult journey through treatment by providing information about pediatric cancer through this Web site and printed literature. In addition, HSK provides funding for community outreach initiatives that will both help children with cancer and their families to better understand and cope, as well as host events to bring awareness to pediatric cancer.
